This explains what the fade.lv website stores about you, why, and for how long. fade.lv is responsible for this data; contact us at [email protected].
What we store
| Data | Why | How long |
|---|---|---|
| Minecraft name and UUID, staff roles, first and last visit | To know who you are and what you may do | While the server runs |
| Your IP address when you log in | To check the login comes from the same network as your game connection; chat shows only a masked version (e.g. 85.254.xx.xx) and your internet provider | At most 60 seconds, for that login only |
| Bets, rounds, coinflips and their results | To run the games, show your history and prove rounds were fair | While the server runs |
| Website chat messages | To show the chat and moderate it | While the server runs; staff can delete messages |
| Votes from server lists | Streaks and the monthly top voters | While the server runs |
| fade+ status, start and renewal dates, Stripe customer and subscription IDs | To give you fade+ and show your subscription | While you subscribe, and as long as accounting requires afterwards |
Your coin balance is part of the game server's economy, not the website. We never see or store card details: payments happen entirely on Stripe's checkout page. Database backups are kept for up to a week.
Why we may use it
- To provide the website and fade+ you asked for.
- To keep the server fair and safe: preventing cheating, abuse and fraud, and enforcing the rules.
- Where the law requires us to keep records, for example about payments.
We don't sell your data, show ads or use analytics or tracking.
Who else handles it
- Hetzner (Germany) hosts the website, and the game server's host stores the economy.
- Cloudflare delivers the website and protects it from attacks, so it processes your IP address and requests.
- Stripe and Link handle fade+ payments as the seller of record, under their own privacy policies. We receive your subscription status and IDs from them, not your card.
- Your browser loads Minecraft head textures from Mojang (textures.minecraft.net) on the Roulette page and the login background video from imgur, so those services see your IP address. Player heads elsewhere are fetched by our server from minotar.net, without your IP address.
Your rights
You can ask us for a copy of your data, to correct it, to delete it, or to stop using it, by emailing [email protected]. We'll ask you to show the Minecraft account is yours, for example by typing a code in game. Deleting game history may not be possible where it is needed to prove a round was fair or to keep payment records. You can also complain to the Data State Inspectorate of Latvia (dvi.gov.lv) or the data protection authority where you live.
